MD Fletcher Ltd is proud to offer traditional French Polishing, one of the finest and most skilled professions, as primary a service. We generally use this type of finish on antique furniture, as it is not as durable as some of the more modern finishes.
We also offer on-site repairs. This includes removing heat marks where we use a process to draw the moisture up through the finish without damaging it, which means it does not need re-polishing. We can also repair dents and scratches using traditional methods with colours being matched using spirit powder colours dissolved in French polish.
In addition, we use some modern finishes, such as Acid Cured (AC) lacquer and water lacquer, where a more durable finish is required.
